Got new shocks, got the Chinese finger trap thingy to fix the air line what got molested, got new license... spent the evening yakking with my kid!

Me and fuzzy are taking a few days off...

I probably wouldn't have tried getting his shoe, but if I couldn't shame him enough to come out by shouting at him, I'd be on the phone with his carrier letting them know what kind of turd they have as a driver and how it will be my new mission to do everything i can to further delay this guy and any other of their trucks I find. At least it would keep me busy and mind off the wait.

Here's how it's supposed to work: Yesterday morning's awkward delivery. The secret to getting at this location is to approach from the south and use all 4 lanes of normally busy Northside Dr to back into the side street. Another truck arrived while I was unloading. He clearly did not plan well, and pulled in head first. Onto a street with no exit and no sensible place to turn around. By this time it's 0900 and Northside is busy.

Turns out that driver was a very cool guy from St Charles MO and did not think it through very much before arriving. We chatted a while and ended up figuring him a way out. The solution was a team effort. Since I was making a left coming out, he set up on the right side to blind side back out into Northside traffic. When I came out, I took the wide left and stopped to take up the entire road with my truck, stopping traffic. Then he scooted out while I eased up when his cab came around the corner, then I took off. All he had left was to wait for another break in traffic, then back in.

This work is so much better when people don't have to be dicks.
