This just aint true.
I have tested both the world nav and the copilot unit (beta test) They just dont work in the real world.
I sure would buy one if it did work

 

Hum? you sure it was not the operator that was not working properly?

I used Co-Pilot and had no real issues but I read the directions and also didn't rely 100% on its routing (as it says in the instructions) Used properly it is a great "tool" to have but you still need to use old school common sense along with it, that means double check by calling shipper receiver and get cross roads ext... then verify if the program is routing you correctly.... And most important YOU STILL NEED TO FOLLOW LOCAL TRUCK ROUTES, this means once you leave the Interstate your on your own far as local restrictions go (except low bridges that copilot pretty much is 99.99999% on)

One thing that people should do and most have no clue is share your routing with the manufacture.. Almost every program has a way to upload routes/addresses that you went to, this way they can update locations if it was wrong.. Co-pilot (if your online) will detect that you have went to a new area that has not been mapped (new construction for example), a window will pop up and ask you if it is okay to share that information with them so they can update their program... The more people who start doing this the better the programs become........

 

GPS will take some time to be near error free. We had the same issues in aviation. VOR, NDB, LORAN, and now GPS. It's getting much better, but with all new things, it takes time to get all of the updates done.

I completely agree with TruckerJo on the updates. Best way to get the system up to speed in the shortest time.
