Just set up orientation for tomorrow with this company. Small outfit out of Cincinnati, Ohio. Has anyone dealt with them before?

I'll post my experiences on here as o can. Expect to be pretty busy. But here's the scoop from what I am being told so far

Start pay is 40-45 cpm depending on experience. I'll be at 45 cpm. New volvo trucks new trailers. They have their own shop and wash bay at their Cincinnati terminal.

Told I'm required to run 3k miles a week minimum. Your standard 1 day off for every week out hometimw.

    Ezpass, but no prepass.
    Day one rider policy.
    1099 for taxes
    Paper logs
One day orientation with an over night stay in a 4 start hotel while they wait on urine test to come back.

Being told I should expect to earn 1500 to 2k a week. Even if I'm at the bottom end of that figure I'm ok with that

Sounds to me like a Chicago Company that has moved to the Cincinnati area...

Red Flags would go up with the 1099 and the 3k minimum miles a week on paper with no prepass... Kind of sounds familiar with 100's of adds on Craigslist in my neck of the woods...

$1500 at .45cpm is 3333 miles. Now since you're 1099, put back 1/3 for taxes. That's a lot of work for $1000 per week net. I believe I'd pass on that.

1099 would scare me, at .45 I'd be nervous. I worked at UZ TRANS in St. Louis, they were from Uzbek but they ran my ### off, made good money, but it was W2, not 1099.
If I were you I'd hold off, if you wanna run like crazy and make good money give UZ TRANS a call. Tell them Tom gave you the info, they are a solid company for OTR and they are very flexible on home time....just a thought

No different than pulling in over 1k a week gross as a lease opp or owner op. Similar numbers with no benifits, and still have to file off a 1099

Except no maintenence cost or fuel expenses and such
