Dude. I don't mean to be a jerk hee so don't take it that way. How in the heck can you be committed to signing on with out knowing this? This is research business men do BEFORE making a major decision like what carrier to lease your truck to.

To answer your question. simply put, you can only pull off Mercers in house board. there are rare exceptions but it requires so many what ifs, it won't happen.

Hey guys. Been really busy. I've been hitting some short but high-paying loads the past couple of week . Since they're usually 200-300 miles, I've been unloading and loading multiple times a day so I've been dead tired plus trying to get everything ready at the house for when my daughter is born this month.

Everything has been running smoothly. For instance, this week I left my house Monday morning and loaded in GA for a 4 stop load. Finished it up Tuesday and reloaded in savannah. It couldn't deliver until today in knoxville so I went to the house since it only added about 40 miles to the trip. Left at 4am and go to Knoxville and unloaded then reloaded and came back to the house. This load delivers in bham in the morning (about 60 miles away) then on my way back home I'm swinging in to Pell city to pick up a load that's going to Nashville for Monday. Total gross this week was just shy of $3000 and that's being home wed, thurs, fri. Some of you may have a different situation where you have to gross $6,000 a week. $3,000 a week is what I set my goal as and that'd all I really NEED. I say all of this to show some of you prospective people that you don't have to stay gone all the time to make money. It just depends on how much you need to make. If you have to make a $600/wk payment for a quality truck then you won't be able to run like that. If you have your own truck and it's not ridiculously expensive, you can make it work.

I'm not plated for CO. I've done OK in Florida but it's just OK. Nothing spectacular. The past 2 weeks, I've stayed in GA, AL, MS, AR, and TN. I'm settling in and learning how to work the system. I do wish that the board was a little more correc . Some loads say 20k pounds and you get there and it's 40k and vice versa. Sometimes it says pick up on the 5th but you can actually pick up the 4th. I've started calling on more loads if they're good and asking if they can load early. There is no telling how many loado I've already skipped over because of a date and I didn't call.

A friend that I met at orientation is on the van side . He still calls me every week or 2 and says he's doing quite wel . I believe he said his average for total miles was $1.68 a mile which I'm guessing is pretty good on the van side. You pretty much have to be plated for 48 on the vans from what I understand.
