I will probably park my truck at the Flying J about 10 mins from the house. I am just worried that some stupid person will hit or ding the truck and I also thought about parking it out at the truck repair place in the country I am sure they will be more then willing to let me park for a small fee wouldn't hurt to ask. And if the truck needs to be jumped I am at a garage.

I don't know if its an urban myth or not, but I have heard many times that Sam Walton said as long as he lived truckers could park at Walmart's. What's got most of the parking at Walmart's is the trash and urine bombs. Parking in general is drying up because of those two things. However even if I could legally park in most of these places I rather not. Simply just too dang much theft resulting from leaving a truck parked insecurely. I' ve seen too many drivers learn this the hard way. Another thing to look out for is your fellow drivers ratting you out to your company for not securing your truck.

I went to Wal-Mart off Plesant Hill Rd. Mananger told me they could not give me permission. So of house Schneider must have written permission. So I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm going to ask the apartment I am moving to and hope for the best.

No your right it don't matter. Its just I remember a time when Walmart's were more trucker friendly. I think those days are long gone. With that said, I do remember several times when a Walmart asst manager did me a big favor and allowed me to do a ten on their property. There is a new paradigm in CMV parking today. Its being driven by the horrible behavior of the drivers while on the property. As I think about this I can remember over a dozen parking spots that used to be great places to park, that are now chained up or roped off with no trespassing signs posted. For no other reason then the trash left. One place near my home I always picked up the trash when I parked. Urine bottles, empty soda cups bottles and cans. Food wrappers cigarette butts and used condoms. Have any of you walked across the truck parking at anytruckstopusa? I have and the smell of urine has gagged me. The trash left on the pavement is sometimes piled high like a trashcan was just poured out. Most of the time a good soaking rain will get rid of the urine, but the truck stop operators have to pay to get the trash picked up. Guess who pays for this in the end?
