A lot of guys talk mess about Western Express, but I'm here to tell you it's the best option for a new driver. Trucks got free direct tv and if you're willing to work you can get paid well. I work 18 on 3 off and made 63k my FIRST year...no BS

If you live in the hiring area look at Maverick Transportation. Best training, good pay, good company.

Good for you. I drive flatbed for POS Express. They treat their drivers like trash. A person would have a better quality of life if they washed dishes for $8 an hour then working here. They beat you out of every penny they can. Detention pay, a miserable $35 layover and breakdown pay and they beat you out of that. 7 hrs loading at Menards you get nothing. They are rude, obnoxious and arrogant and talk down to you like you're a dummy. No scheduled time off. 9 out of 10 of their flatbed drivers I talk to are in the process of quiting. They run a mill for federal tax credits. They prey on people, use and abuse them. Every week there is a fresh crop of 100 or more getting of their ratty busses in in Nashville for "orientation". I stuck it out for over a year because I admittedly have "issues" my driving record not being amongst them. Do not consider this company unless you have no other choices whatsover. I am quitting whether I have another job or not.

I currently work for western express and it has its ups and downs but as a place to start out its not bad. They get me home when i want for atleast 3 days. The miles could be alot better i just figure i have good and bad weeks between traffic weather and time spent at shipper. I will confirm they hate giving out detention pay/layover or breakdown not that 35 bucks a day matters much. Ive been here 6 months never seen less the 500 bucks a week ik it aint much but it would ve closer to 900 without child support (GOTTA LOVE ALL THE LITTLE MONSTERS)so money isnt bad. EVERYTHING AT WESTERN EXPRESS depends on if ur willing to run the loads without complaining and be lucky enough to have a good DM
