Something interesting just happened and I asked a 4 wheeler friend of mine if I was wrong or not and he didnt understand what happened either so I figured this must be a trucker rule. I was at a Flying J, there were two registers open but instead of the normal two lines, there was one longer line. So I paused for a second and then figured maybe one line was for guys taking longer like buying fuel.
I just had a candy bar that I wanted to buy so I went into the shorter line and right when I was next one of the black guys in the longer line told me that I skipped. I tried to explain why I chose the shorter line and he said BS. I was looking at other truckers to see if they would agree I was wrong but they didn't say or do anything. I bought my candy bar in 10 seconds and left so I didn't hold up anyone, but was confused at why there were two registers with cashiers and one long line and a short line and how I was wrong for taking the shorter line.
Oh and I can see if I was in the back of the longer line first and skipped over everyone but I had just walked up and picked the short line. I wasn't trying to skip the line so not sure if I was wrong or not. Now that I think about it I wonder if he was wrong and thought I skipped from the end of the line when I just got there which is why he was the only one complaining.
Is this an inside trucker rule I dont know about

Can anyone answer? So one line for two cashiers is the hidden rule?

I'da told him to KMA (politely if he was huge). Line is what line is. Usually, when I pick shorter line cash register breaks.
goin2fast10 and truckon Thank this. -
You are wrong, its common sense 2 registers open and one big line with the next guy in line moving to the open register... Why is that so hard? I'm sure you weren't the only one just buying 1 thing...
classic_150, slim shady, TBonze and 7 others Thank this. -
There is no hidden trucker rule. Half the truckers get it wrong just like you did. But yes 1 line for 2 registers.

Ok thanks I'll remember that next time. The reason no one did anything is because I probably could have kicked everyone's ### at the same time. See I have trouble with certain things since people are too afraid to correct me in real life since I am a buffed tall guy who looks like a killer.
GenericUserName Thanks this.
