I have a 2015 international prostar and it has def. Sometimes when I'm in stop and go traffic or idle for long periods of time 45 mins plus the truck goes into a high idle. When it does this I don't get any regen lights. The only light I get is hot exhaust and higher rpms and turbo boost.
I thought if it was doing a regen there was supposed to be a light indicating it. Is this normal?

Nope, no lights if it does it automatically...only if you initiate one manually.(or at least that what I was told)
flood Thanks this. -
It was my understanding the MaxxFarce was programmed to automatically kick into high idle when the computer sensed the engine was running too cold.
-
My Volvo will do an automatic parked regen when idling. Doesn't show any lights and the only way you notice is the idle speed kicks up from 700 to 1100 or so.

If it shows hot exhaust temp it's a regen. It won't necessarily show the regen light but you can tell by the sound and the high idle
-
Volvos would show "Regen in progress" on the drivers information center, but the regen needed light wouldn't be on.
-
Either regening like the Volvos do. Or it could be set up that way to keep the oil running through the motor because those maxxforce run high oil pressure in just cruising speeds.
-
Ok sounds good. I'm no mechanic.
-
Cruise control on?
Hitting resume will turn on high idle, for times when you want to build air pressure. -
Nope no cruise. Does it on its own.
