I change the height of the seat every so often. Altering the amount of pressure on the joints, even by just a little bit, can be helpful.

Hi DC, better get used to that. I'm sure it's stress. You'll learn to relax after a while. It's especially bad when it's slippery, and you'll find yourself hugging the steering wheel, about a foot away from the seat back. A lumbar support pillow ( in the small of your back) helps some, but that's a common ailment. Try adjusting the seat. Front part up, or back up or down, ( should be levers on the left side of the seat bottom for that), or tilt the seat back forward or back, lots of air or try no air. It may not help your neck, but you'll burn a couple miles doing it.

Read post #7. Lotta good advice by @Lepton1.C & C Thanks this. -
To paraphrase a lot of good advice I found on the forums:
Don't push up on the steering wheel, just pull down, like your arms are weights, using only you back to pull, not your wrists or shoulders.
Sit up straight, arms bent at a 90°ish angle.
Don't lean back, and keep your thighs angled down a bit.
This is all stuff that' has saved me immense pain and suffering since starting his job, and learned entirely from the helpful users of this forum.Bob Dobalina Thanks this. -

Make sure you're drinking lots of water. Being as it's getting cold out, you may not be paying enough attention to proper hydration. Lack of water will produce cramps in muscles.
bottomdumpin and Lepton1 Thank this.
