He has a good price on it. I would be interested myself if he were near me. It will sell in the price ranges he has mentioned. The auto is what kills the price in the open market.
Personally, I've driven auto's in the past and didn't mind them. I'm looking at that as a way to get a good buy on a good used truck...maybe.
How much is my dad's truck worth (helping him sell)

"Battle scars".....that means everything from a couple scratches in the paint to it looks like a port truck that ran over a landmine. And to be honest, you can have guys from every dark corner of the internet throw out what they think your dad's truck is worth when in reality nobody knows. We haven't seen a picture of it, taken it for a ride, or pulled an oil sample.

You're comparing a 2007 with more desirable emissions controls to a 2008 with the least desirable emissions components of all. Those 2007's are worth more than any 2008 in the market place. Everyone and their brother knows 2008-2010 trucks are lemons. Many dealers will not even accept them as trade in. Like I said - polish the wheels nice and bright, buff that paint, don't mention any problems or "this and that need to be fixed" - just sell it as is. Maybe raise the price to $30,000 just to see but i'm betting it will move for $20,000 no problem. Me personally you couldn't give me a 2008.

Those '08-'10 were so problematic that some outfits went under from the amount of downtime the trucks had. '07 trucks with the '06 model year engines are worth so much more simply due to better reliabilty.

I wouldn't buy one either but man asked how much it's worth.Go on truckpaper.com and you'll see that 2008s are running 30,000-39,000.
