True it was but again I can almost guarantee that there is a performance clause in that contract. They would be crazy not to include one. So, in their eyes anyway, you didn't perform.

They fired you for 2 preventables in 5 months. I'd call that just cause. Pay up (or don't) and move on.

And for crying out loud, stop hitting stuff.

Hit a car in a parking lot, and hit a car while changing lanes. both were in the blind spot.

That sucks...hopefully you understand you are responsible for this and no one else. Pay them, move on and up and stop hitting cars.

I will have to see the details of the contract before paying up. My 2nd accident was questionable as to whose fault it was BTW. Its possible that the other party did not have their headlights on and was looking for some insurance money.

Oh! Why didn't you tell us that sooner!

Knowing that, not only should you NOT have to pay them, you should sue their pants off!!!

Why you may ask? Well, their school is obviously sub-standard if they couldn't even be bothered to teach you not to hit cars in your blind spots!

Case closed. See the bailiff on your way.....

Yes you should pay them. So what if they fired you, they didn't say 6 months unless we fire you. You did not fulfill the term of your contact, you are more legally obligated to pay them. And hitting two objects in the blind spot, well seems you didn't learn from the first one.

I didn't fulfill the term of my contract because of their decision to fire me. Not mine.

At the very most, I should only have to pay the prorated rate of a 6 month contract. Not a 9 month contract. My contract was for 6 months.

Doesn't matter why, you didn't fulfill your contract. You are obligated to pay them. You can attempt to argue it, but it won't matter. Unless they have a "unless we fire you" clause, you owe them. Accept it. Deal with it. Move on. Decide to pay or not.

i wouldn't worry about it. You said your military, means, they've probably already been paid twice over by the gooberment already. Since they get kickbacks anyways.

Wait 6 months, pull down your credit report. Dispute it. End of story.

There's a million rookies that go through their school every year. They won't even dispute the charge. 30 days later the credit agencies remove it.

I'm curious as to how many newbies that never finish their contract, actually pay the bill. Chances are, you've still got an unpaid collections for 7 years before it disappears. And if by chance, some collections agency contacts you, you have the right to dispute. THEY HAVE TO SEND YOU THE PROOF. And NOBODY is going to make copies of 1500 pages to mail to you. They probably don't have the information themselves.

BTW, you might google for your state to find out the limitations. Collections stay on your credit for 7 years. But some states have a limitations as to how long they can legally collect. In utah, it's 6 years. Some states are 5, some are 4, and some are as low as 3 years.
