I never understood all the effort people put into skirting the filter. I write like I talk. Let the filter do its job.

 

Took the road less travelled today. Since I was ahead of schedule and was light in the wagon, I took AZ77 from Holbrook to Show Low then US60 to Phoenix via Globe.



AZ77 offered no surprises, pretty level and smooth.



Once on US60, it starts to change.



Yep, 7% grade. 35 mph speed limit.



Lots of canyons and drop offs



Around Salt River Canyon is where it really gets fun. Lots of 25 mph hairpin turns and switch backs.


Not as bad as US50 in West Virginia but close.



Starts to level out about 30 miles from Globe.



Once you get past Superior US60 becomes a near freeway.

 

and I haven't? that is about the only "bad" word I use. if I type the way I really talk. I would of been gone from here long, long ago!
