I have been looking into different truck driving schools, and there are several to choose from in my area (Dallas), but it is hard to decide which one is best or perfered by trucking compainies. Does anyone have a recommendation on which school is best? I have been looking at RoadMasters and DiverSolution, and there are also 2 or 3 trucking companies that offer in-house training but everything that I have read on here about these companies tells me to stay clear of them.
Any information that can be provide will be helpful.
Thanks

There's a section for all things school at the top of the page. But to answer your question, PTD (Professional Truck Driving Institue) has a certification process based on wheel, classroom, etc. time. If employers value any schools beside their own, I would say this any one of these would probably be better than one that wasn't certified. Good Luck!

There are several good schools in Dallas. I personally went to the one run through Mountain View College. It was a month long, Monday-Friday. My instructor was great and the class was very small, just two of us. And the cost was reasonable. They do financing if you need it, however I paid cash for my class.

You can pretty much go to any school and the big trucking companies will hire you. Look for a school where the trucking companies will pay for it or reimburse you for it.
