The trailer of an overturned semi truck hung off Interstate 10 in San Antonio, Texas, for several hours on Saturday.
Witnesses say the truck driver swerved to avoid hitting two vehicles that were involved in a minor fender-bender in front of him. The sudden maneuver caused him to lose control of the rig, causing the cab to overturn and the trailer to dangle off the highway.
A street sign below was the only thing holding up the trailer, preventing the cab from being pulled over the railing.
The incident occurred around 10 a.m and wasn’t cleared until 5:30 p.m., as multiple cranes were needed to safely remove the tractor trailer. Thankfully, no one (including the driver) was hurt.

That right there is why I don't swerve. Something beyond my control happens in front of me, I apply the brakes as much as possible without causing my load to come through the back of my cab, and I pray I don't kill whoever screwed up in front of me if I can't get her whoa'd up in time...but I will stay in my lane. Once you leave your lane, you're responsible for what happens because the person who caused it is on up the road oblivious to what just happened behind them unless they were tangled up too...in other words, if you didn't hit them, they don't exist.

Might still get a ticket, but at least with the other guy there I stand 1/2 a chance convincing the officer what happened. Of course these days, my dash cam helps my case. If somebody pulls out in front of me and comes to a dead stop, and I can't slow down in time, they are getting plowed. I'm not turning myself over in the ditch or taking out the family in the minivan next to me in order to spare some idiot who did something worthy of a darwin award.
