When I say "my MC #" I'm speaking about the company I'm leased to. Nothing fishy about it at all. "My" MC # 731706 I call it "mine" all the time but I don't really have ownership of it, sorry.
I just think it kind of odd that some of these brokers call me based off of my truck posting and ask me what "my MC # is"........
Hello McFly you clicked on my posting and called me but you don't know what "my MC #" is????
Rates in the toilet?

I think a lot of people listen to a lot of other people that are busy talking out of there ###. That's what determines whether guys make a little money or no money.
Guys that make good money aren't listening to the lunch counter drivel and therefore aren't influenced toward lowering rates or matching prices that brokers or customers have allegedly already gotten.
I live in CT. I pull open deck. How many people think I live in a dead hole and can't be making any money? Raise your hands.
Alright now, everyone with their hand up keep telling the other heros at the lunch counter about how you tore this page out of your atlas, you don't come up here, the tolls are too high, the traffic is too bad, there's no money in freight in ct. Those are the guys that need to hear those stories as much as you need to tell them those stories.
For those of you that didn't raise your hand because you're by yourself reading something on the internet: hello! You all have potential- potential to see things greater than storied tales of the good old days of $4.++ a gallon fuel and $2.00 a mile freight! Your vision isn't clouded by stupid things people tell you.
What I offer (and you can too!) is a service. I'm not a supertrucker. I'm a professional. No one does it better than me.
That's my goal at all times. Not to be ####y, but to do what I do better than anyone else does it.
"We think therefore we are"
This is the highlights of several chapters of the book I should write.blade, barnmonkey, Big_D409 and 5 others Thank this. -

I'll say it again so it's crystal clear. I've had a rough year. It's been a down year. I've pissed and moaned about it as much as anyone. These kind of loads, I don't book this every day. And have never claimed to either. I survived and had an OK year where I scratched by. Luckily the old truck didn't eat thousand dollar bills like there was no tomorrow in '15. Maybe next year will be better, I doubt it, but we will have to see. You can be sure of one thing though if there is a day or a week next year when I see the signs that trucks are in demand on my lanes I'll #### sure know it. And I'll be doing what everyone says is impossible yet again. I pay attention and that's the most important skill you can have in this game.

Finally got an OK load today not great but met the lower end of the "will work for" scale I have.
Sure was a lot of 1.00 to 1.75 a cent mile freight today. must've turned down 25-30 loads I called on today and about 15 phone calls. I used to get up at 7AM to call about loads now it's 9-10 AM no need to start off early
wasting time.SheepDog Thanks this. -

Was doing my taxes for the end of the year this past weekend.
Looking at the bar graphs everything will pick up in January and February with flatbed. -
Who are you a broker with Bob or is that kept a secret? Just curious if I ever hauled for you before.
