Plenty of companies base the hiring of drivers from the results of your DAC report. You can have a spotless MVR and DAC can still screw you up. That's the point of this thread. Read the o.p. A tire blowout was listed as an accident.

He more than likely has another job, cause the last reply before 900,000 tons of steel replied was 2013, but yes DAC report matters, if your DAC gets bad enough, trucking companies won't be able to insure you

Somehow, i don't see insurance companies giving a rats toot about your dac.

Dac only matters to the megas. And they carry their own insurance.

I think most comps would laugh at a tire blowout as being an accident.

You ever seen a DAC? It doesn't list details on what companies receive, simply an at-fault or no-fault accident. Hire right should be illegal as it is a private company and not subject to federal scrutiny or accuracy.

They must be subject to SOME type of scrutiny. We've all been getting tons of letters about their lawsuits.

It's not that easy. Hire Right doesn't remove accidents just because a driver contests something. The company can fudge this very easily and MANY companies will lie to smear a driver more often than not and any company that would classify a blowout as an accident has little integrity. The burden of proof is often on the driver, unfortunately, not the company, to prove otherwise. In addition, if a vehicle is towed it can be classified as an accident.

Id still contest it and the comp has a certain amnt of time to reply or it gets removed i believe. But still being honest w/ the new comp and telling them what happ.id like to think theyd understand, unless he is going to a mega like Werner or Swift or such.DAC is a joke and a waste they need to do away with it.Moost comps dont even use it.MVR is good enough.
