personally I wish drivers were paid HHG + 10% but its easy for me to spend somebody else's money

I don't keep track of how many miles I get paid for, all I care about is getting my paycheck. and if my pay-stub looks right

 

Id rather be driving down the road at 30cpm with plenty of miles available,than making 50Cpm and waiting days for a load.

if they pay detention the money has to come from somewhere, if they bill it to the customer they'll just find some excuse to avoid paying it and then go to somebody else who won't charge them for detention

 

Sometimes it's not worth explaining things to some people that are happy being walked on. Know wonder you sat for weeks with them.
