Soooo....., yeah, me and TA will no longer be doing business with each other. After multiple phone calls and emails, no one had ever gotten back with me. I called again yesterday morning because my steer tire was now illegal and I wasn't going to be able to work until the alignment was corrected and tire replaced. They finally transfered me to someone with authority (instead of just writing up my complaint and forwarding it to them), but they didn't answer, so I left a message. I, as politely as possible, explained to them the situation again, that I needed to get the truck fixed yesterday, and where I was at. I informed them that I needed to know one way or the other and they had 2 hours to call me back or I was taking my truck elsewhere and they would not receive another dime of my money...I gave them 3. I still haven't heard from them.

I took the truck to Les Schwab in Missoula, MT. They replaced the tire, did the alignment, everything is good now. Doing the paperwork for the tire took longer than the rest of it. Those guys were quick, great attitudes, great work. I checked the alignment numbers against each other afterwards, yeah, they pretty much put it exactly back where it was before TA touched it. It was a little more expensive, but well worth it and I was in/out in under 3 hours.

Yeah, but that has less to do with knowing how to do something and more to do with just overall having a bad attitude. Like was stated, if he had just asked, someone would have helped or showed him how to do it.

I completely agree with what you are saying, tho in all honesty I don't think it would matter much. The world is different today, and with very few exceptions, shippers are not willing to pay more for a carrier with a better reputation like they used to. Today they look at damaged freight or late deliveries as nothing but acceptable loss numbers.

Yes it was stated. And like I said it didn't make a big difference to me. Most of the drivers I have talked to out here are upset about it and CLAIM they never heard it would end. IDK my loads pick back up after next week. I'll be happy as a clam then and done with this tarping in the rain.
i think the point being made was towards the guys off the street with no O/O or L/P experiance. Also I believe that those of us with military exp kind of have the upper hand because we have had to deal with a lot more for a lot less. We always got told to do things with no explanation of how it was to be done but every expectation that it would get done. I think that helps us.

There is an old saying : Perception perceived is perception achieved. Or as my Mom
would say - Image is everything to the public eye.

Well what's the perception of all the dummies who bought a truck with conventional financing??? Paying cash or financing at the bank doesnt come with a free brain.
