Better start using the USA routes as you can't run east or west of Nipigon.

That bridge is where 11 and 17 run together. ####, this is going to cause big problems.
That bridge just opened, I'm pretty sure the old one is still functional though they'll need to reroute the road back to it.
This is going to be an interesting week.

MTO site lists it as Emergency Road Work, duration unknown, possibly days.

Umm... WTF!
Was this the first cold-spell since the bridge opened? Just wondering if the cold caused something to contract too much and break or dislodge? You can see from the picture below the deformation in the deck. We had a similar incident in Calgary when the LRT was first being built. The bridge over the Elbow River at the south end of the Stampede grounds fell into the river when the bridge bearing malfunctioned. One end of the bridge stuck due to the bearing (rollers or teflon pad, I don't remember which) not functioning properly and when the bridge expanded, because the end couldn't move, the bridge camber increased and the bridge fell off its piers.

Stunning.
Nipigon River Bridge this afternoon. Looks like a job for Super-Trucker. -

106 million dollar bridge and already all traffic is stuck going through the states. Hoping the old bridge next to it has not been dismantled yet. I hope the engineers are gonna be fined some ridiculous amount for the millions in lost transportation revenue
