Another good way to tell how good a technician is is to listen to the driver leaving the shop and see how far he can get down the road and still maintain two way communication between himself in the shop and once the communication is broken make a notation of the name of the shop and the distance between the two radios. When Mark was in Amarillo Texas there were a few of his customers who were able to talk to him all the way to the Oklahoma state line about 100 miles east

UNLESS, the CB shop's antenna is setting right under a bad transformer and his noise level is so high he can't hear.

 

Last techs on my radio was wolfmans shop..Sence day one with the radio i never had the greatest reception..Most of the issue is the new trucks and type of antenna im running..
With truck to truck i usually get 3-5 miles..Other timesi have gotten 10..Yesterday i was talkin to a base station 35 mi away..A few months ago i was yackin to a fella about 45 mins away from me and both were rolling same direction..I have gotten skip a cpl thou miles away so its kinda all over the board..Its all dependent on their set up and conditions..

 

That's what .3 uv sounds like to me. It drastically cuts down what I can hear by 80%
just like being under power lines

 

Speakin of power lines..I plug in my cell or gps to charge it hisses in my radio big time...I get a pulseing sound when i turn on my stereo..Bugs the crap outta me..Gotta add more squelch to drown it out. ..
I sent fine tune an email late last night,waiting on a reply..

I sent two..One to the email that sent me fine tunes addy and one to fine tune..Atleast i thought i did..
Rabbi was that you who sent me the email from dcpromo? If so yes one went to you and to contact fine tune ect ect ect...I was assumeing that dc promo might have been him..
