I was a company driver, tried to lease my tractor to them, but did not work out. Good people. family company, I pulled reefers, a lot of drop and hook, shuttles between chicken plants. Pay on percentage and several good lanes and loads have their "favorite", but they had a lot loads. Jimmy, Chris, and the lady in dispatch cool to work with, while Brian was, well just say somewhat over the top. One problem was that you start in Albany, pull an mty to Cold Spring and then you start earning pay leaving Cold Spring. Will push you if you allow them. Pay was always correct and on time loved their direct deposit. Did not seem to care on Hours of Service if they matched times or not, just get it done. They paid all the lumpers or you could do the lumping and keep the money. The HR lady, Sue got updated by me on using a log book correctly, had to actually call JJ Keller and have them explain it to her. First rate shop, they can fix just about anything, Monday to Friday.

OK, Never drop a trailer with less than a half tank of fuel at a shipper/receiver, Never drop a trailer in Albany before filling up the reefer tank, they have a special tax-free pump for reefer fuel. You can buy fuel from their pump at the shop at a reasonable price. You will get a magnetic pog to turn on the pump after punching in some info. You can communicate with dispatch by sending an email to dispatch@ramlertrucking.com Must send or call by 10:00 am. There is a alumimum box on the wall of the shop with supplies and to turn in paperwork. They sell Yokahoma Tires at a fair price, talk to the trailer shop foreman. He is very knowledgeable about trailers and reefer units. They repair their own reefers. They also have a tractor that doubles as a tow truck if needed. Loaded trailers are dropped on the east side of the shop, mty's are dropped across the street after filling the reefer tank. Must have a padlock to use if you load cheese in Melrose. Always call Arcadia when going for a transfer load with an eta, the scale at Arcadia is west of town when Gold N Plump stores their loads and trucks. Need a code to get the gate open, same in Rice at Roma/Vista need a code after hours. Cheese loads to Rice take paperwork to dock, they like to unload asap. Have broom with to sweep out trailers. The trailers for cheese from Melrose are usually washed out at Albany and parked across the street with the doors open. Trailer numbers are very hard to see at night, get a light pointed sideways to help. The sign shop south of town makes decals for your doors, 845-sign. Good Luck,

I actually enjoyed working there, especially the Cascadia I drove after August. Left to drive at a local company 7 blocks from home. Job ended 5 weeks later, now I drive a Volvo for a broker in Litchfield that has 3 trucks pulling Reefer, Kadyl Inc. They have a lot of freight and treat me well.
