No idea on the percentage of out and back, but a fellow out of my terminal in Ft. worth (Coporate owned terminal) said all he has done so far is out and back. I agree with him, it's nice - but I'd rather have another load once and awhile. The tank wash may be time consuming, but a reload from the the same area will be worth it. He has only been with QC for a couple weeks, so we have to keep that in mind also. QC pays for the tank wash.

My truck has a fitting box mounted in the frame in front of the fifth wheel. And extra boxes under the stairs to the cab.
Not sure about the in transit heat, no one has mentioned that yet. -
Some loads the wash comes off the top. It again depends on the customer . So on those loads you really pay 60% of it (or whatever the rate is these days).

I would absolutely have a hose rack installed and chain and padlock the hoses to it

Forgive my ignorance, but, if the trailer is theirs, shouldn't the company pay the tank wash?????
