I'm sure all of us have had payment delays for any number of reasons. Sometimes it's our fault for not having everything done correctly and on time, and sometimes it's something beyond our control.
I recommend to any driver to take the time to learn what your office staff needs and a little about their work flow. Work WITH them, not against them.scottlav46 and spyder7723 Thank this. -

The small companies keep track of your miles with their computer and will pay you even if you didn't send in the BOL.At least they did with me.I would have the money in my account every week like clock work, like say I got paid Friday's and delivered a load Thursday, that load would be on Friday's check.but megas want that BOL and will not pay you for a load if they don't have it even though they got paid for it.

The one that annoyed me was a broker asking to email in the BOL, no problem. BOL, Invoice, RC etc....get emailed in. Thirty or so days later I call to follow up on check - broker says well we didn't get your originals in the mail.
To which I replied, no but you sent the ones I emailed you in to your shipper to get paid, which then means you owe me the money based off the email copy. This was a smaller broker and she sent out a check though I really have no idea if what I told her was legal or would hold any weight. Point of the story is that it was just another broker trying to delay paying - go figure.6wheeler Thanks this.
