I heard about this too. The sad part is even if it's recovered, they can't resell it. When I hauled cheese, I always thought, at 5,6,or 7 dollars a pound, a load of cheese is worth over a 1/4 million dollars. Besides, I believe California has surpassed Wisconsin in cheese production. All we produce now is alcoholic's with their 3rd, 4th, and 5th DWI's.

Update: Police say as the thieves sped away with the trailer of cheese the owner of the trailer ran after them shouting, "HEY!!! THAT'S NACHO CHEESE!!!!!"

Update to the update. APPARENTLY, they found the cheese at a warehouse in Little Chute ( near Appleton). Methinks this was a screw up on a colossal scale.
