I had this problem myself; it's a symptom of the battery dying because the power supply is insufficient to power the GPS.

My factory RM charger burned up, so I switched to a USB power supply. Even though it was a 2 AMP supply, I suspect it wasn't actually supplying 2 AMPs. When I bought another better quality USB power supply, that solved the problem.

Try letting it charge a while while turned off. Then turn it on, and cut the daytime brightness down by 2 levels. Doing that allowed me to use mine until I figured out that my USB supply was sub-par.

Mark, I just did the latest map update on my TND720, and now my GPS is running so slowly that it's not tolerable. Routing and such is running fine, but I have to wait 2-5 seconds between touch screen inputs for anything to happen. Even selecting each letter when inputting an address takes 2-5 seconds. Known issue?

The update before this one, I had to install a Micro SD card. That slowed it down a bit, but nothing like this recent update.

I think there's a bug in the latest update.

    classic_150 Thanks this.

Still has the screen issue. Tested it in both of my cars, my truck and when plugged into the computer. Used several different cables as well. I'm going to assume something is broken or loose inside, because like I said in my previous post, if i hold it a certain way it works fine.

I was going to open it up and see if it was something I could fix, but I'm not sure what kind of screws are holding this thing together. I guess I'll have to send it in for service, or check my credit card offered buyer protection and they will refund my money for a new one.

My 510 just started this lagging as well, only after the recent 40mb update correcting the NAVI.EXE error according to changelog.

It is also now randomly freeze-rebooting on me, last two times while I was in Settings & Truck Tools menus...
Previous to that, including the latest map update, everything was smooth & quick.

And oddly enough, I've never seen that NAVI.EXE error.

Mark, I bought a new 7 inch tablet to replace my 8 inch which won't turn on... ive noticed the new unit is missing play store and other Google services. Have they been intentionally removed?

Yes, known issue. We are working on that along with the freezing issue.

If you get the freezing constantly on a 720/530/730 pm me.

    Thanks,
    Mark
