Just found time to update.
2nd week of training, 1st week with trainer:
Not too bad of a week. Did a lot of top fill and consignee work this week, with 2 days of interplant work.....wish I wasn't on training pay for those 2 days haha
Learned a lot about unloading including what to listen/look for on "plugging". Only had 1 plug a little on us. Trainers fault, he was controlling it, but I killed the product valve as soon as I heard it stop. Quick save on my part, and he congratulated me on doing the right thing.
So far so good. Working on vacuuming next week. Already assigned a truck, so after work every day next week I'll start cleaning her up so she's ready for me on my 1st day.
Be safe everyone,
Touktscottme and crazeydude Thank this. -
Good catch on the plugged line. A trick I learned if the line does not clear when you shut off the product valve, shut the bottom air valve and then open it all the way. Usually the burst of air will clear the line.
tscottme, spectacle13 and Touk Thank this. -
How did your second week with your trainer go? Are you off on your own yet?
Touk Thanks this. -
Everything went great, gotta few more runs in and vac'd some loads outta silo. All in all the training was good. Lots of stuff, but if you have common sense and understand the processes involved to do the jobs you'll be fine.
Got my truck Friday, but went home for the weekend and came back Sunday to get her all arranged. She has an appointment with maintenance this morning and then on to load and run to Russellville for delivery tomorrow morning. House is on the way to and from, maybe I'll grab lunch with the wifey.
Be safe out there y'all!

Well, maintenance says my motor has to come out and be sent off for rebuild. It's got oil in the manifold. So, now they're trying to find me one at another terminal.
At least Rick and Al are here to make the process go a lil smoother and faster lolDMAX66 Thanks this. -
Touk Thanks this.

Heading to Atlanta now to get an '04 model. Good news is, I'll get mine back when it's finished.....with a rebuilt motor
