Then maybe you should take better paying loads up there.

Well you don't have to run the City, there are plenty of good paying loads going elsewhere in the N.E.

If you read the first part of his post you will see that he is not with Eagle as of yet, he was keeping an Eagle eye on them, but hasn't committed yet.

Yeah thats a good point...I was thinking of running nj pa ct and ny if it makes sense. I live in the "northeast crossroads" as they call it. I live in ny and within 45 mins of pa, nj and ct border...so I was thinking im in a prime area for freight and wouldnt have a problem getting through the house whenever I needed to as well. The question is does eagle have its own load board or what load boards do you eagle drivers use? If im not mistaken I think I read that you have access to loads from the megas as well like jb schneider us express etc? Do u think living in the northeast provides any advantage as far as load availability and rates go?

As I understand, you are negotiating your own rates at Eagle. So you just have to be sure you get your rate plus the tolls. My guess is that there is some confusion about spot market freight and contract freight. Contract freight may/should have FSC and tolls built into it. Spot market is just you dealing with a broker and agreeing to haul a load for X amount. It's up to you to have the FSC and tolls added into that X amount before the conversation even starts. It's also up to you if you agree to a lesser amount than that...or leave it sit.
