From what I heard it's selective based upon the market a driver lives and when current drivers leave.
Also SFI clients get priority over drivers bring their own trucks.

Whatever happened to the whole "driver shortage" eh?
You know things are bad when a mega carrier says freight sucks and we don't need anymore drivers.
    That's what this is imo.

At least Schneider is trying to protect it's current drivers, a lot of shady companies out there would hire endlessly even if there's not enough freight.

You're exactly right... Most companies will continue to hire and then tell current drivers we don't have any loads for you... I do remember back in 2008 when the economy tanked Schneider actually cut off the training program and actually laid off drivers if I'm not mistaken and froze hiring at one point... Of all the big mega trucking companies are the only ones I know that do that stuff... The others don't give a #### if they figure some of the driver leaves we got 5 more walking in the door tomorrow and to me that's a rotten attitude to have and that's why many of them aren't worth a crap.

Lol I like to take advantage of the opportunity on here. Criticizing the grammar of posters on here is against the rules, but making fun of a company stooges grammar is both fun and legal
