Thinking same thing. I had them in bite size pieces. If they were slices I would have.
To get that low in calories I have to stay away from most things. Fruit and veggies.
Back down to 264 but stuck there it seems.

So my grocery haul at Walmart today asparagus prices have gone through the roof. A small bundle cost 4.79.
I grabbed some more chicken and some 93% lean beef. But I just realized I forgot to pick up some romaine lettuce leafs for lettuce wraps. And these awesome guacamole single serves (spicy or mild) are awesome. I eat this with a salad and my future chicken/beef wraps. I also grabbed low sodium taco seasoning. I also picked up some salsa Verde for my egg whites and some italian seasoned tomato sauce for my spaghetti squash. Also I walked across the street and picked up a bottle of Thai curry from bufallo wild wings for my chicken tenders. 1 Tbsp is 70 calories with lots of flavor. So I plan to just brush on chicken right after pulling off the grill and thin so I can put it on about 3-4 tenders or 2 breast. And also got some tuna for salads and wraps. I did pick up another pineapple for grilling also. The Reynolds wrap is for wrapping veggies in and putting on the grill.

TIP OF THE DAY ....have you cut apples up to just seen them turn brown?
cut up apples and put in a sealed bowl, but first add water and squeeze half a lemon in the water, seal and shake. They will stay white and fresh and crispy with no lemon taste. Keep about 2 days. But I eat while driving.

    CaptainDaveG and HalpinUout Thank this.

OMG! I'm delivering at kwik trip and they're making doughnuts! I've gained 5lbs just smelling that oh so sweet smell!!!!!! Hurry, some sweet fruit, put up the windows and spray some febreeze. Where's a bull hauler when you need it. Not! Lol ;)

It smells so delicious! I need a piece of dark chocolate. Or a salad. Hahaha.
I've found out some things don't work so we'll in the truck. For example. ......
Apple slicer. Waste too much water cleaning. Use a apple core cutter.

Coffee pot. Too much coffee and not too tasty. Use a aeropress.

Blender. Again too much water waste cleaning. Not used often. Off the trk.

Rice cooker. Rice is real fattening. Gone.

Griddle. Too much grease splatter. Changed out for electric skillet w/lid.

Plates/forks/spoons. Went to plastic. Plates are paper. Styrofoam in the microwave not good.

Wal mart fridge. Froze up in 2 months. Got a Frigidaire from Lowe's with a freezer door. Uses same wattage.

Cheap knife. Not only is it dangerous, it crushes fruit and veggies instead of slicing.

That's all I can think of at the moment. Time for some chicken wraps with guacamole and salsa to dip in.

    Another tip......
Not sure if I mentioned before. Celery. Cut and wrap in wet paper towel and put in aluminium foil or sealed bowl. :)

Up later. How to make spaghetti squash in the microwave. Mmmmmm.

For sure. Was having a hard time finding them the last couple visits shopping that were any good. When their firm I can deal with it. But not mushy! And in the truck the bruise real fast so you have to eat them within a day or two, if not they will be black on the inside, not green. But love them fresh with a little salt.

Struggles and weight gain. Things I think that's effecting me.

    1. I gained back some weight again. Arrrgh!
    2. Been doing the night shift the last 3 days. So I'm not getting 8 hours everyday. And 3 more days to destination.
    3. Ate a small bag of chocolate covered almonds. Not good. ....I knew it was bad when I paid for them, but my brain compromised with me.
    4. The first two weeks I had grass fed beef steaks. Sooo good.
    5. I've cut back on water. Need to get back to at least 5-6 bottles.
    6. Have not been able to exercise.
    7. I haven't kept fruit sliced up ready to eat while driving.

Have to get back on track. My body is only as weak as my mind! Meaning my body can handle and do more than my mind will allow it sometimes. The mental part is the hardest. Always wanting to deal and compromise with myself. I will need to find a king soopers, kroger, smiths or super target. They are the only ones I know that sell the steaks. Bed time.

    TIP OF THE DAY. ....

PUT MELONS IN THE FRIDGE FOR TWO TO THREE DAYS BEFORE SLICING AND THE COLD TEMPS WILL SWEETEN AND SOFTEN THE MELON INSIDE MORE.
at least works for me every time so far.

Good luck in losing weight but I can guarantee that if I saw what you eat its the usual suspects. You have to realize that changing what you eat, your eating habits and lifestyle will take a monumental task and most important time. Just because you are older doesn't mean you cant lose weight. I've written many posts about nutrition and it's taken me a long time to figure it all out. There is only one course IMHO. A high fat/low carb diet involving lots of fresh veges and fruits. eating stuff like nuts that contain lots of fats and avocado are big on my list of foods to eat. You are on the right track with what you have on the truck. You have to get into a routine where to shop for your foods. I do a lot of shopping at Costco. Just realize also that we have been lied to and brainwashed into believing that FAT is bad for you and the food industry and Govt guidelines have pushed us to eat a low fat high carb diet. It'd been finally exposed as total bunk. Study after study by people in the know that didn't take donations from special interests like the sugar lobby, reveals the quickest way to lose weight without much exercise is a high fat/low carb diet. Just be aware that it will NOT be easy to adopt such a lifetstyle, but the results are much more favorable than the other way round. BTW I don't take much notice of doctors. They are clueless about nutrition, and are more interested in giving you a little pill to solve your ills. Yes, I used to be a fat kid until I made changes. Now I'm 63 O/O weigh 180lbs, BP 125/75 and I'm on zero meds. I'm not sure I could run a marathon of any length, but that's OK. Good luck on your endeavors and don't give up.
A good book to check out..."Eat fat, Get thin" By Dr Mark Hyman.

Well, knew it wouldn't be easy. It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be on weighing in this week. Still just a tad (.9 lbs) off before I took time off the truck last week. But this is not a short term food lifestyle, but a long term goal. It was disappointing earlier in the week, but not discouraging. It only makes me want to be better.
The calf is doing better, but still when I run my thumb down the inside of the calf it still hurts some. I think I can start my walking again, but am going to try and hold off on the jogging for one more week.
So right now I have 93% lean ground sirloin in the fridge. Believe I'm going to scramble up some taco meat for salads and lettuce wraps. I "should" be in California today so I can pull the grill out also and cook up some more chicken. Works great for lettuce wraps, salads, and just as a meal with veggies.

I get to drive through the house next week with a load. So now I can pick up all my running and cycling gear along with my bike. The bike might be a task getting in and out without hitting the rear derailleur out of alignment every time.

Well here's the weigh in for this week. It's not a sprint to the finish, but a marathon. ...haha.

Reason for edit: weight was .9 lbs not .2 lbs.
