So you had no problem with your co-driver getting up and working on "your shift" so you could do laundry but you throw a fit when you're asked to work on "his shift"? If I was your co-driver I'd be pissed at you for turning down loads and hurting the paycheck.

I stood my ground and I will have no problem completing any job in between my normal shift, and even an hour or two before or after if I have the hours. But I had fallen asleep for a few hours after my normal shift 530ish am western time. And was called at 910am western time to do the job. I felt as if I did the right thing, I posted this very frustrated and half asleep so hopefully this cleared up some confusion

as far as logs go, I was in off duty from the time I completed the previous job, to when I went to sleep, so legally speaking I could've done it, but because we handle a lot of Amazon and Fedex, I do my best to stay awake during my running hours even if I'm not running, and sleeping during my hours I'm off. If they gave me a heads up, I could've went to sleep earlier and completed it, but they gave me 10 minutes notice and expected me to hop out of bed half asleep with 3.5 hrs sleep and race through LA traffic to fix their screw up

Cruisin thru and roadmap65 Thank this.

By 9:10 am, L.A. traffic isn't all that bad. "And speaking for myself", I get up, get ready and out the door in 20 minutes even with 3 or 4 hour's sleep. Pick up my coffee along the way.
