Did you ever replace the ecm lol?

 

Stay away from 09 trucks first year def systems. If you want a new truck go with a 14+ better def systems. Plus don't idle hurts def filter.

 

I've been to the shop 3 times about my nox sensors. They'll replace one reset everything an it'll go right back out months later. Oh an btw my truck is under warranty yet they still charge me for a "low temp regen" not to mention 3-5 days down time

 

What year and make is your truck?

 

OK was probably done by 300k (the check engine light comes on then). I've always kept mine at 505HP but I've known ppl to turn them up higher. Never really had the need and I like my fuel mileage. Outside of doing the DPF filter every 300k I never had a major problem. Had to replace an egr valve 2x. The first time was just past 500k then again a few weeks later (second one was under Warranty still and the dealer had me in and out in about 2 hours). Besides that I was 1.2 million miles with no motor issues.

I wanna turn my truck up but I read on a previous post that even turned up to the max the dd15 still doesn't produce the power I'm looking for

 

What are you looking for? Me I want reliebility and fuel mileage. Enough pull to climb a normal hill but I don't need to do 60 mph up a 6% grade fully loaded. 455 is a bit shy and 500 is ok. I'm not the fastest at 80k but I'm no where near the slowest on a steep grade.

So what do u recommend ? Bumping up to 500hp?
