Normally I would say come on out. For 4k I hope your no farther east then say STL or so but the way rates are right now you will probably say something crazy like NJ. I was trying to book out my week today (normally an easy task for me) and I still don't have a load past tomorrow. Part of that is I am way to picky and I know it. But most off it is that it is SLOW out here. Now is not the time to try and fight (learn) the western board. I know I have seen others say the same thing. We can't all be wrong. LOL. But in a normal year it picks up in March ;p.

Snall wures ?????? Yeah, I would check them, too.
Anyway, one good mechanic could probably fix that N-14. Most "mechanics " seemed baffled by anything electrical.
My first truck, had an intermittent starting issue. Went to the dealer once. Young mechanic. Looked lost.
I got changed one hour labor because the truck started fine when I showed up, but I agreed to pay them to look
    at it.
Anyway, every now and then I would have to open the hood to jump the solenoid to start it. Sometimes I would leave it running while fueling to save myself the trouble in case it didn't start.
So, one day I decided the next time it didn't start , I would figure it out.
    Took me about 2 minutes.
Weak ground on the starter relay.
One new wire plus 2 connectors.

5 years later, I bought another brand new Peterbilt.
So, it had an intermittent starting problem. .............

1,900 lbs! Might as well be empty! Love that California freight going to Texas. Now if only I could convince myself to stay out here and not go home. @CJndaTruck if you make a bad decision to come to TX let me know, I'm itching to smoke a brisket!

    CJndaTruck Thanks this.

That seems to be all there is out here right now. And the thought has crossed my mind. Now you tease me with brisket and I just might have to pull the trigger. I could stay lazy for a little longer I suppose. LOL

Yes but be careful. If the box is empty or light it won't take the bow out of your trailer. This causes a lot of vibration in the box and has a tendency to snap straps pretty easy. If it is heavy enough you don't really have this problem. (I know seems odd but it's physics)

    roshea and jacquesi23 Thank this.
