I have been to Charlotte maybe 2 times since I've been here, that's outside my working lanes.
It was okay when I was there but can't remember if it was on a weekend. Must have been at least 6 month ago since I was there last.
Reminds me I got a "truck wash" at that OC once and it sucked.

Yeah it can get packed there. More often than not I end up parking where all the dropped trailers are in the back. Always got a space though one way or another there.

Forgot about Charlotte. That place was insane! Bobtails taking all the parking where thrailers were supposed to go despite signs that were up. Watching a fuel hauler almost beat the tar out of a driver who parked his bobtail right in front of his truck and then. refused to move it. Colorful place for sure

Didn't he finance the rebuild? And if you are able to do an intake yourself you'd probably save $15,000. I could take a month off, rebuild the engine, and still be money ahead. But I realize most truckers don't have a shop, tools, and experience to pull that off.
I highly doubt a used truck will need $40,000 a year in maintenance... Every year. That's enough to rebuild the engine and buy a new transmission. If you do the work yourself that's enough to put all new or rebuilt drive train in the truck.

Don't forget, nm has a milage charge just like Oregon for its fuel tax. For guys who aren't in NM in a regular that can be a surprise come fuel tax time. Otherwise, El paso is bay for reload usually. Sometimes there is good stuff out of Arizona as well. Also look at Laredo even though the dead head sucks.

LOL, have you been there on a weekday??? It's nothing but a used truck and trailer sales lot. I've seen SNI trucks parking on the on and off ramps there at Statesville Rd. because of no parking at OC.

I try not to go there. Been there twice both on a weekend. First time as a bobtail and I think I found the last possible spot. Last time I had to double park with about 6 other guys in the lot.

Decided on not going to PA or not going south for cheap.
Just piling on the tiny loads instead.
Tomorrow is another 3 load day.. probably will be fighting against my 14 again but if it works out I'll earn far more than doing anything else.
