This accident should be a wake-up call to all drivers. It isn't summertime. Be safe and adjust your speed accordingly. Accident site is bad enough that a makeshift triage had to be built on site.

I was in my first lake effect squall on the toll part of I 76 in Ohio today.
East bound warned us about it, and it was a weird storm, only about a 4 mile strip of heavy snow, but left the road covered with snow and surely slick if you needed to stop. Some real stupid driving by the big trucks, but no wrecks. I heard on I 80 between Youngstown and the PA line, a lot of trucks got together, ?

Didn't know it was such a big wreck. I went by there headed east about a half hour before it happened. On my way back from Erie, PA I had to go around.

Yup. One person was ejected from a vehicle and pinned beneath another. In addition look at the photo of what used to be a CAT Freightliner Cascadia. The cab was ripped off the chassis.

I was stuck in that mess coming back Westbound from Elysburg, PA, Great Dane Trailer MFG. Four trucks and at least two four wheeler's, that I could see as I crawled past. Sure enough though, as traffic resumed, trucks flying by me in the hammer lane...yes, the lane that was white with snow! I just don't get. Even after seeing that accident, drivers go right back to the "it won't happen to me" attitude. By the way, I made it home safely, just a bit later than I would have liked.Had a beer, went to bed.
tucker Thanks this. -
