You've got 2 options save enough money and pay for your own CDL training which will set you back about $3500 or sign on with a Transport company who will train you and deduct your fees out of your pay. You'll be required to sign a contract that's so they can protect their investment so if you leave them before you've paid the money back you'll be held liable. Best thing to do, if you can put up with them, is stay at least 6 - 12 months that way pretty much any company will hire you if you decide to move.

Companies that have local driving jobs in Harrisburg and Carlisle area are JB Hunt, UPS, Fed Ex (Don't recommend because of how badly you get treated), Pitt Ohio, New England Motor Freight, Old Dominion, ABF, Giant grocery store delivery, Pepsi, Coke, Transnoble, etc. there are a lot more but that's just off the top of my head since you didn't mention if you wanted to be an owner operator or not or if you wanted to do LTL, Intermodal, or something else. Considering the Harrisburg-Carlisle area is the transportation hub for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic driving jobs are extremely plentiful in the area.
