I got lucky with the timing of my kids spring break. It's next week and that week will have 4200 miles on it (with my computer down, lost track of how many loads scanned in) plus the bonus for my first referral completing orientantion. Gonna be my best payroll since my first week with no truck payment.

That's gonna make the wife happy and I can cook everything I want to cook while home for the week.

I got a load going to Kearney, NE from CA. I'm thinking about riding I-15 till it links up with i-80 in salt lake. I can't remember that route because it's been a long time since I've taken it.

Would it be better on the mpg to just link up with 80 in Sacremento then ride it across?

Well if using the 15 would have to be southern CA area. Steel gave me a pretty dang good route to NE a few pages back if you look for it. CA to NM to CO to NE. Diesel is usually really cheap at that Indian Casino just north of Albuquerque, gotten it a few times and had no issues with it. 80 during the winter across Cheyenne is always a crapshoot. Even as I say that, I'm getting ready to do it with a load from Council Bluffs, IA to Seattle, WA.

Just came out of Washington to Oklahoma. 80 was great except for the wind, but I think snow is in WA now, so be careful

    40 to 25 in Albuquerque.
    25 to x25 (Trinidad, CO)
US 350 to CO 71 (between Timpas & Benton)
CO 71 to Fort Morgan, CO
    I76 to I80 to Kearney

Flat once you hit Colorado. Good roads, only a couple of towns, and GREAT MPG

I'm now 4 for 4 on drop trailers needing shop work not being DOT legal. This time someone hit something, sliced the air lines under the trailer so when you brake it dumps air. Brake test during pre trip after hooking found it quite easily. Along with 3 busted shocks, sliced electrical in the same spot, shattered meritor tire inflate box and damaged air suspension dump box.

    Thanks mystery dropper.
