So, I've got two offers on the table as of right now. As the title states, Schneider Northeast Regional & JB Hunt PPG... Schneider recruiter told me they will start me out @ .37 cpm with weekly home time. JB Hunt recruiter said start @ .42 cpm out 11 days off 3. Both companies told me and average of 2200 miles per week. I live in upstate NY & I mean wayyyyyyy upstate, like 25 miles from Cornwall. I'm currently OTR and it's really getting to me.. I'd like a job where I can be home pretty frequently and make decent money. I've talked to a couple JB drivers and they say the miles just aren't there.. Which makes me kinda think that's why they start you out at such high cpm. I also like the idea of being home weekly.. But, if you've drove in the northeast you know that a lot of the places are older and not made for a 53' trailer & a tractor with a sleeper. Another thing that I was wondering is, which company has a better CSA score? Any input will be greatly appreciated!
Schneider Northeast Regional or JB Hunt PPG?

Are you north of Cornwall? There are plenty of LTL jobs around Montgomery. Home every day with overtime. Depends on what you want. If you want, shoot me a PM and I'll see if I can't help you out.
Aharon and UpstateFreight Thank this. -

go Craigslist and look for local jobs.
I'm from California and every time I go to check for jobs, there are a lot of local jobs openings.
I wonder how it would be where you live.
Now between Schneider and jbh,
It seems that Schneider would be better, reason is you would be home more often.
Good luck! -
I've been on Ohio regional PPG for three months. My miles vary but average 1800. I've been home Fri,Sat,Sun nights all but twice in that time. My location is in NE Ohio so say an hour from a Monday p/u location. Dispatch isn't till between 9-11 am so the week starts late. I don't know about the 11 day out schedule. Most locations I've been to are OK to dock except Springdale Pa. Information flow and directions meaning addresses has been sketchy a few times. We aren't driving a Honda civic out here so kinda need correct address. I'm an older driver so I don't want/ need to run crazy like some do. JB has trucks governed at 62 mph, and Bendix radar for headway distance warning. The account also runs pretty heavy most the time. Hope this helps someone.
canviskiller Thanks this.
