Hmmm. I can't copy and paste comments.
I went for a short walk this morning to test my garmin watch to see if it will communicate with my phone through ANT+ to upload to garmin connect. It worked! So I'm thinking of a bike ride around the casino for a while or until I get a load. Really need to test it before going to fat from the truck.
The shipper shorted my second stop, so it messed up my preplan's.

FYI ........I'm not uploading to the strava app at this time. Just garmin until I get some rides on the saddle. I probably can put links to the workouts on Facebook or on here.

I decided to pull the bike down and put in seat. Bungee cord around head tube to hold up and in place. If it's not easily accessible I won't take it out near as much. Just done a short 6 mile ride. If I don't get a load by 3:30 I'm going out for a ten miler. I hope the wind dies down too. Rather make some money, but it is what it is. I can pull out the bbq and have steak cabbage and tomato.

It's actually your heart. Your lungs are not a muscle, you don't make them "stronger". Unless you have a serious medical condition, your lungs bring in sufficient oxygen, your heart pumps that oxygen throughout your body. That burn in your chest when running is your heart, with conditioning it will stop burning. As your heart becomes stronger it will be able to keep pumping that oxygen to your muscles with less effort (this shows up as a lower heart rate during running). Technically your lungs will become more efficient but because of the way our bodies are made, you can't focus on lung conditioning. It becomes a by product of heart conditioning.

Lots of consistent extended cardiovascular exercising. Running, biking, swimming. Just use some caution, when that burn is almost unbearable, you should back it down a notch. We arent twenty five any more and can give ourselves a hearty attack.

Basically, what you want to do is fond a speed you can maintain for an extended period of time. Be it biking or running, aim for an hour of consistent activity.

This is how we were coached way back in the day when i ran competitively.

Awesome Post I intend on following you. I'm just about ready to start teaming with my husband and I plan on cooking and staying fit. I commend you for your progress and I'd love to share our journey. May I ask what kind of freezer you bought? We will only have a 1200 inverter i'm hoping that won't be a problem. I plan on cooking a lot with the Insta Pot, it's an electric pressure cooker.

Not sure how many watts the insta put pulls. I have a 1500 watt. Sometimes I have to run the truck when I use my electric skillet.

I bought my fridge from Lowe's and it's a Frigidaire. It holds a whole week and half of food for me. It cost $200, but works awesome. That's cheap compared to what I use to spend at the truckstops. $25 x 7= $175 per week. Now I spend about $70-80 a week. I have to keep it on medium or it freezes my vegetables in the fridge. I'll post a better pic of it later.

Yeah, guess your right. I didn't wear my hr monitor yet since I'm doing easy short workouts. If I stop early today I will wear it. Want to do about a20 mile ride.

My testing hr is 62. Use to be 53 2 years ago when I ran my first half.

20160308_191517.jpg 20160308_191558.jpg Here's the pic of my fridge. Getting low. I also have one already built into the truck. I use it for my eggs, hot sauces, ham and bacon and almond milk.

Well I'm here in Idaho. Weather was looking pretty nasty were I was going to stop so I drove on. I got all my stuff ready for a bike ride in the morning. Yeah, I wear lycra. It's not pretty but it works good. Besides, it doesn't have a weight limit tag. Lol. ... probably should be. Haha. Especially the cycling shorts. It saves the butt and chafing the thighs. And the shirts have pockets on the back. I am a little bit nervous about riding out of a truck stop in lycra on my road bike. But what the heck. I don't know them. Except I just happened to park next to a company truck without realizing it. Maybe he'll be gone in the morning. Lol. NO PHOTOS PLEASE! :) There's no bike paths here, but there is a frontage road longer than I plan to ride. And there's no place to refill my water bottles. That determines how far I can go. It's suppose to be 40* in the morning. I can deal with that.

On another note. I haven't had any of the beef jerkey in a while, but ate some yesterday and it went straight through. I guess no more of that.

1457219957867.jpg And this is how I hang my bananas to keep them from bruising and getting mushy. I pay the extra for organic. They last longer, even with spots there are still real good. Bungee cord and a caribeaner (?).

Something else not to waste money on, since I already tested it. A little plastic microwave omelet and poacher at wal mart. Worthless! Made a mess and too hard to get all the way clean.
Just use my skillet with coconut oil. I'm thinking steak and eggs after my bike ride with slices of tomato. Mmmmmm.

Yeah, don't be. Been wearing leggings for 30+ years, since 20ish, and haven't had any nasty comments yet (except my wife)...at least not to my face anyway.

    That's cool.

Well I guess I need to stop planning for exercise. Woke up to rain and 39*. That doesn't work for me. Guess I'll just drive to the receiver. About 6 hrs away. But first some egg whites and bacon with a cup of coffee.
