Ah... Ok... Yes, that would change the dynamic of the situation quite a bit.

With the speed of reply from PTL and May, I am a bit wary of them. I know good, safe drivers are in high demand. But, they act like a mouse trap. I know PTL is a no-go for me. May has a terminal in Pensacola just an hour from my house. I'm still trolling for bites, though. I just want to make an educated decision on where I go. But, I have time. 7 weeks to go or so in school.

I will be applying for my TWIC card and getting a passport regardless.

Crank, yea, I hear ya. I drove for PTL before. They put all newbs in a mandatory 2 month with a trainer and then 40k miles with another newb as a team.

This homie don't play that. At least May said their trainers would cut me loose when they saw what I could do. Still holding out for a local gig, or Abilene. I realize that I am still a rookie. But I have no issue proving myself. It is not difficult.

I'm home. Got here at 8:30 this morning after dropping my trainee Carl off in Tampa. The dude will be a driver when he's done training. He's got everything needed too succeed. Finally, after 2.5 years, and countless wannabe's that have told me time and time again how much they want this, just to drop off the face of the earth because of issues at home, with the wife/girlfriend, or complete empty space sitting on their shoulder, I have one that will make it. Him being a 10 year Vet, with a couple of tours under his belt, and a wife and kids that support him, this is going to be a win win situation for him. Plus, he can back up.

I drop Monday morning in Fort Lauderdale and will be home until Wednesday.

I was till I got a line on a tanker company that has a terminal near my home. And a pretty good pay and benifits package.

But thanks for the invite to continue here
;). I'll try to start a new thread with my experience at Carbon Express.

I would stop driving a truck in a heart beat if my wife wanted me too.

I still can't back. I have been driving for over two years. Maybe if I ever can figure out how to back I will be able to figure out the quadratic equation.
