Trams Am out of Olathe, Ks.
They claim to have best lease in industry. They push the lease on new drivers and they have 11 day training for guys out of driving school.
I was company driver for years. I left because they stopped paying layover and extra duty pay, etc. Real low life people run that company.
Who are the Bottom Feeder Starter Co's to avoid?

I worked at a Whole Foods and needed help from the HR person. I told it was no big hurry as i knew he had 200 employees to deal with and he was thankful for realizing that. We became friends and whenever someone would ##### about him i would ask them if they were civil and nice and did they realize that you get more bees with honey.
I am not buttering them up, I am being empathetic. -

I thanked him for being a good fm and navigating me through my first few months.
He kicked me some detention pay for my trouble and granted my las Vegas hometime request for April.
He laughed as he said, i thought you live in Boston. Lol. He's a good guy -
Make sure to go to Freemont (boardwalk), got live bands sometimes and can walk around beer in hand. The spray can painters are always fascinating to watch. Last time I was there was like 5 bucks for a two day bus pass.BostonTanker Thanks this. -

Wherever you go, do not lease.
Do not lease.
Do not lease.
Do not lease.
Next thing I would say is do not team.
Do not team.
Do not team.
Do not team... unless you are married to your codriver and you can put up with each other.
Next thing I would say is no forced dispatch.
Next after that would be no megas.
Next after that is route discretion. I will not tolerate straight-line routing, especially during a snowstorm. You need to flexibility to pick the routes which will keep you upright, out of a ditch and out of an accident. The idiot companies who let your dispatchers pick your routes and force you to stay on them should be avoided like the plague.
Is it important to have your dog with you? Some companies don't allow pets, or they charge a big fee for you to bring one.
The companies that remain on your list after filtering them through those requirements could be good possibilities. It also depends on what you want to do. Do you want to run tanks? Do you want to flatbed? Do you want to eventually heavy haul? Do you want the fastest track to regional and local work? Do you want to swing doors and bump a dock once in a while or do you want to run both ends of the truck and take dedicated accounts? Are you good with customer service?Last edited: Mar 19, 2016
