When I get back from MATS on Sunday, I will have to see if I have a 7E still hanging around. The Navinfo file will work to "fake" the Dock, and if it does repair the files, the next reboot it will rebuild the navinfo file correctly.

The other option(s), send it to me to look at or I an remote into your computer to look at the files. I will not be able to remote into your unit till after this Sunday.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Just updated my TND 730 last night after nearly a year in use. At first, I got a corrupted device message but it connected anyway after I clicked on the message. Updated the device and the maps. Concerned about the corrupted device error, I reconnected it this morning and cannot get the dock to recognize the 730 no matter what I try. Windows sees it, the 730 says it is connected, but the dock wont recognize it. tried different usb ports and always get corrupted device popup and message on lower part of screen saying device not connected, using most recent device info.
Is there something else I can try?

That is a common MS window.. Do not worry about it.

Are you using the RM USB Cable?

You might have to connect the 730 to the computer and then with the 730 on, reboot the computer.

Newer computers power share on USB Ports.

Make sure your power settings are not set to Eco Mode.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Using RM Cable. Tried rebooting with 730 on, no change. Still getting corrupted device and device not connected messages. Running on home desktop with NO eco settings. Have also tried uninstalling dock software and reinstalling with no change in results.

Thanks. Mark. I'll try the RM Dock file diags first, then we'll go from there.

TNDT70, 7 inch tablet. Giving me an error all the time "Unfortunately RM services has stopped" Freezing randomly while on GPS, I'd say it does it every other day, it just locks up, and the only way I can get it to unfreeze is by pressing the reset button with a pen.

Also, terrible routing.. For example, Phoenix AZ to Kingman. It won't even consider routing me up via 93 North, even when I was halfway there it kept telling me to make a U-turn and take 17 to the 40. This is bone-stock, after a factory reset. Freeways are set to Allow (default) in my routing options. It did this for the fastest route, and shortest route. Also when choosing the fastest route, sometimes the shortest route is faster, by like an hour on a 9 hour drive. I think this is because the ETA is calculated based on average speed somehow, but when routing, it ignores all that and just goes based on the maximum speed limit.

Make sure you have the latest update pushed about a week ago. On the main screen swipe down at top left and see if an update is available.

US-93, has a few spots that are Non-STAA... If you change your trailer to 48'/96" this is Non-Staa it will route you. BUT be aware of the few areas that will not allow a 53' trailer.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Mark, have a 720 with power issues. Charge light has been blinking for awhile now, occasionally screen would go all white and make an awful loud tone, now won't boot at all. Just sits on the pre-boot screen trying, but can't. I've tried a new power cord and different plugs. I think the charging port is toast. It's out of warranty. How much am I looking at if I send it in and it's the charging port? I'm going to hook it up to the dock when I get home, but can't imagine it can fix this issue.
