I live on Long Island and know the roads pretty well. From what I read there are alot of truckers that do not want to drive in the NYC area. Are there job opportunities for someone like me to make runs for companies here?

I heard trash men in NYC make over $100K a year due to living expenses and union, I would think a local driver would make big bucks up there.

The DSNY guys do make decent money once they hit top pay and with overtime.
DOT guys make good money too. -
