Been there out of Wintersville for all most a year... Just saw this couple month old thread and thought I would answer the questions anyways... I live 7 miles from the DC so I'm home often...
Question #1 We got a bunch of new automatics coming in... you'll get an assigned truck fairly quick.
Question #2 I like to run Meat & Produce
at night. 1st load... has to be there by 0600... So if you have a 2100 NAT you
may get pushed out till Midnight. You
come back to the DC and run a second
Dry Remix load and maybe sleep at the
second stop....
Question #3 Zanesville Ohio on Dry Loads, most everything over that way is
covered by Washington Courthouse.
4. New Trucks will have outward facing
camera only
5. Sometimes there is routing that makes
you wonder but always seems to be set up that you get your miles
6. I use Google maps, the walmart layout guide which is supplied to every driver,
Jill & Rand Mc for Navigation....
You can bring home $700-$800 a week fairly easy. You can stay at Walmarts instead of
Truck Stops... I don't shower there but the bathroom is taken care of with a couple of showers
I live close. Not a bad job for someone starting out. -
Why not just go to work for Walmart and make more money? Seems like Walmart drivers average 80 to $90,000 a year

And Wal Mart still picky on who they'll hire. Even after this mass hiring event

Yeah, people say "just drive for Wal Mart' like you can walk through the door, and have a driving job 20 minutes later....

Contrary to what a lot of Walmart people want to see Walmart has lowered their standards on drivers over the last several years... Just look around at some of the idiot actually Walmart drivers pulled on the highway now now it's probably a small percentage of them but still they can't go around saying they have high standards when they hire people that do that... Also I Walmart driver I came across in Southern California look like he hadn't showered all week either just another high standard driver huh?lol
