So say 2500 x 48 weeks a year, around 120k miles a year, so you are in the 0.50 per mile range if you want to try to compare it ... pretty good deal in my mind. How does your hourly pay work? Do they just pay you for the time your elog says you are on line 3 or 4?

Not bad. I got about the same average cpm last year.... net after health insurance and other stuff. And I did it on Elogs and got home every weekend, holidays, and took a couple of weeks off. And no hazmat!

And I sure don't know why anyone, referring to a previous post, would want to run long hours or drive any longer then they have to in order to make a living. Get a real job and you won't have to run illegal or like a idiot in your 80+/mph truck in order to support yourself and your family.
I made this statement in another thread. Go to work for a company that pays you more then .35 and .40 CPM and you still will want more miles sure . but you won't feel like you have to kill yourself to make a living. This Billy big rigger fast trucks Thousand Mile days attitude is the reason the EOBR's are being shoved down our throats to begin with.I love my Elog. I love my Elog.
Come on everybody say it together.
I LOVE MY ELOG. lol -

Just did tax return for 2015. On Elog's the whole time. Let's see... every weekend home, every holiday off, no dedicated route stuff, by the house 1-3 times a week, took 4 weeks off (not all at once), and my NET was $65K. And since I don't spend in one week what the government allows me to deduct each day for food away from home, factor that in and the NET was around $77K. I am against any Elog mandate, but to say one cannot make a living using one is pretty extreme.
wore out and CrappieJunkie Thank this. -
