Anxiously waiting to hear back from Western tomorrow. I know there are a lot of bad reviews on this company, but from my position I have to see it for myself. I figure it can't be anymore stressful than the Marines. My question is where are all the positives? What can anyone say that's good? Apparently I'll be doing runs for copper on flatbed. If all goes well and I get it. I'm basically going for the experience and seeing where it takes me. Thanks anyone who responds.

I advise that you seek out better options. If you can't do any better, do it for about 6 months, then move on up.

Western will work for the refresher course.
What's your long term goal? Flatbed also?

Yes I am thinking flatbed for good. I'm nervous because I see all these bad reviews, but still curious. They are so far the only ones that seem to be able to help me get otr with my length of not driving and lack of our experience. I will be bringing my wife along too so I figure even if it's stressful it will be ok with her there. We are actually both contemplating teaming up if all goes well.

Since you've been off the road awhile, and want flatbed, then Western or Celadon can help. It's only for the short term anyway, so you can tough it out.

Where will you haul copper out of. I've hauled some from the copper mines in Utah.
