Waiting to hear back from Western Express

Still waiting to hear back from Abilene as well. They are waiting on PSP score which makes no sense because I haven't even started this career yet. Freymiller won't take anyone without 6 months or I just don't live close enough. If you're in the Midwest/East you have more opportunities than the megas.

You're going to be doing more than copper runs from NM and AZ. You will get one about once a month if lucky. Btw, I've been driving for WE for 4 months now, quitting this week. Very unprofessional staff and have a DM that will not communicate with me. I'd advise to go somewhere else.

There is always Interstate as well. They will take you after 3 months solo with Western. Perhaps I will join you at Western. Haven't heard back from Abilene nor Heartland Express.

It's gotta be from either Morenci AZ or Tyrone NM. We have dedicated drivers out of there that backhaul from Texas, Oklahoma, and Norwich CT and go to those two mines. Western needs a 100% on time delivery to keep this very lucrative contract and it's requiring more load swaps then ever to repower those loads and keep them on schedule.

 

When I see a Western driver, I automatically think they are an ex felon.

 

I admit I laughed at that.
