I've been using BigRoad for 6 months now and love it. I don't carry printer, but the 2 times I've been pulled over, I just offered the trooper either they phone or I could email it or fax it to them. Both times, the trooper said don't bothe.

I've used both BigRoad and KeepTruckin. I prefer BigRoad. Although KeepTruckin logs were easier to edit.

And if you drive through Missouri, you need a printer. I've know several drivers who have gotten tickets and have even been put oos for not being able to print out their logs on the spot. The DOT officers are refusing to look at your electronic device and won't let you fax them. Just a heads up.

It's that the case, none of the large carriers have printers either, are they getting tickets also?

There is a older thread on TTR that explored the question off what you need if you use elogs that are not made by EOBR's.
Federal rules are such that you need a printer otherwise you can be fined.
Faxing or email is not legal.

I use the rand mcnally dock software that is built in to the gps. I plug the usb into my laptop and the dashboard pops up. From there, you can download the fuel and mileage reports to your computer to any lcation/file you want. I have a folder in my business section simply called "gps downloads". In it, i have 2 folders called "fuel" and "mileage". The files open with any spreadsheet and have the info in both standard and metric columns. I delete the metric and add in some macros for totals. I save a quarterly file, i.e. "Q1-2016 fuel". Hope that helps.
