The blower motor quit working all of the sudden the other day. No warning. Checked the 5 amp and 30 amp fuses in fuse panel. Bunk blower motor works. Doesn't matter what position I place the fan speed switch. Took the front cover off the dash to reveal the blower motor, but can't even tell how to remove it. Pretty compactly installed.

Does this sound more like a resistor? Or did the blower motor just simply give out? Tried searching videos on YouTube, found what seems to be the one and only video, but doesn't match up to the configuration in this truck.

Any thoughts/input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    two things

one, the motors are interchangeable, i prefer the rear over the front (it has already happened to me)

two, my front fan takes a break in the middle of the day, for about an hour, then comes back on

gremlins maybe? anyway, freightliner wants an arm and a leg to figure it out
i have learned to live with it

Make sure your switch is good. They go out.

You have heard of test lights and meters, get one and check the power at the dead motor..

If power, then motor is dead..

    If not, look upstream..

The problem is going to be either the control switch assy, the harness from the switch to the motor, or the motor itself.

wait a minute! Behr switched to brushless motors in 2005 so u can have brushless motor with mounted on it ESC, and u may have bad circuit on board if bearings are old and motor consumps too much current

That year and thru 2010 is notorious for wires shrinking. Our whole fleet pulled right out of fuse box on fender over time. Check for power right at blower motor.

I've got a 2005 Freightliner M2 Buiseness the blower motor was not work when I bought the truck so I've replaced the Motor with new stall wiring harness I'm getting power to the motor the volts go up and down with the switch so the control can't be bad what now

You have confirmed power in, now fix the ground...
