I am a new driver.. Been solo for three weeks.. I am pushed pretty hard to get the loads and I feel pressure to take all of them.. It's good pay.. I like to work.. But here lies the issue.. On two occasions already they have put me in violation and won't take no for an answer.. I feel that shows a lack of respect for me over money.. If I get pulled I will get a point.. And that is my career.. Any advice on how to handle it because it's not going to happen anymore and I feel my job will be at stake..
Being told to violate my 70 to get the load there..

Google the coercion law. Any company that "punishes" you in any way for not breaking the law would be in serious trouble and owe a lot of money. New law as of January.

What company is this?

The CDL is yours to lose not theirs!

They are not allowed to ask or force you to break the hours of service. Get this documented by a message through Qualcomm (take picture with phone make sure it has time and date stamps) also take pics of your logs for previous 8 days. Emails would work too.
That being said, you sort of have to know what you can run and what you can't before you accept a load. If the load requires 50 hours on duty +driving over 4 days, and you already used 30 hours over last 3 days, you will hit 70 before finishing the 50 hour load or being able to run on recap.tech10171968, G13Tomcat and JReding Thank this. -
After you tell them how long it will take, and they still insist on pushing you to get there. They you just say, I'll do the best I can, and do only what the law allows since that is the best you can.
When you are new some dispatchers just like to push so they know what you are and are not willing to do. They will adjust their planning accordingly after a few runs.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
