Your opinion is based on that article? Biased isn't it? Drivers talking about a $9000 loss for the year? Do you feel that's reflective of the industry? In the last month I have brought home over $11000. I don't know many company drivers that do that.

I would love to see the math on this. In the end you will wind up in tears.:biggrin_2553::biggrin_2553::biggrin_2553:

Uh huh. The OOIDA says dont do it.....Kevin Rutherfod says dont do it. But I guess you know better. Good for you. Fleece purchase is no better than the pay-day loan scams. It took me a while to save my money to put down on a truck and have some operating money. People want the instant gratification and play pretend owner operator.

It does not take a rocket scientist to see that fleece purchase are scams.

Maybe I should use smaller words so you understand. I am leasing. I make great money. I choose my loads. I chose my hometime. I bring home, as of last week, .91cpm after all expenses and taxes.

I guess the difference is you hear people telling you not to do it, and like most sheep, you agree and become a detractor without any first hand knowledge of leasing. I look at the actual numbers on the contract and make my OWN choices.

This is is the same drivel you have posted before. "It's a scam, it's a scam! I don't know why, just what some dude told me."

I have seen guys put money down on a truck too, and think they are an Owner Operator... Takes a lot more than that to become a successful O/O and business person.. They usually do have a lot more at stake thou... Fail to make your payment on your loan and see for yourself..
They will sell that truck for whatever they can get, and come after you for the difference...

There are some lease purchase deals, where they are walk-away, and for whatever reason, just turn the truck back in without destroying it, you should be fine...

They ########. Got me 17 hours away from my house by rental car and only want to give me a bus ticket to get home although I have to throw away some of my things to get on the bus. On top of that they trying to take between $1,000 and $1,500 a week for truck payments.
